Edge Search: a search bar with AI on your site

Edge Zoek puts a search bar with AI on your site, without a plugin. Visitors see results as they type, and when they ask a question they get a short answer with the pages where it appears, based only on the text of your site. The edge places the script on every page. Nothing changes on your site.

Turn on

1. In your account, go to Edge › your site › Search engines and AI › Search.
2. Choose per month or per year and pay. After that we read your public pages (up to 600) and build the index. This usually takes a quarter of an hour. Within an hour the search button appears at the bottom right of your site.
3. We update the index every night. On Sunday we read everything again and remove pages that no longer exist. With Update index now you do it right away.

Where the search bar appears

• Search button at the bottom right (default): a button in your accent color on every page. ⌘K and Ctrl+K work too.
• Use your own search field: if your theme already has a search field, Edge Zoek opens as soon as someone clicks in it. If it does not work automatically, enter the CSS selector of your search field under Settings.
• A spot you choose yourself: add an empty element with the class nsl-zoek-here to your theme. The script fills it with a search field.

The script chooses light or dark itself, based on your page. Under Settings you choose the language (Dutch, English, German, French), the name of your site, the accent color, the text on the button and your contact page.

What the AI knows

Only the text of your public pages, plus the fixed information you add under Settings (opening hours, delivery costs, return policy). We skip pages with noindex, your checkout, cart and account pages. If the answer is not in there, the AI says so and points to your contact page. It never mentions Netslim or any supplier.

What visitors ask

Under Search you see which questions visitors asked and whether there was an answer. We only store the question, never who asked it. Questions without an answer show which information is missing on your site.

Costs and limits

Per site per month or per year, paid in advance and cancel monthly, including a fixed number of AI answers per month (see the price in your portal). Searching for results is unlimited. If the AI answers for a month run out, the results keep working. Each visitor has a limit of 30 questions per day. Want to turn it off for a while? One click in your portal. Within a minute the script is gone.
