Agent-ready: your store ready for AI agents (markdown and MCP)

More and more often it is not the customer who searches, but their AI assistant: it compares products, reads specifications and comes back with a link. Agent-ready by Netslim Edge™ makes sure such agents can read your store properly. It runs on the edge. Nothing changes on your site. Agent-ready is available for sites that run through Netslim Edge^TM.

What you get

• Markdown for agents. If an agent asks for markdown (header Accept: text/markdown, or .md after the path, for example /product/naam.md), it gets a clean version of the page: title, price, stock, SKU, brand and reviews from your structured data, followed by the text, without menus and scripts.
• An MCP server. At https://jouwdomein.nl/mcp there are four tools: search (search your products and pages), get_product (price, stock, brand, link for the customer), get_page (read a page) and store_info (contact details and your shipping, return and privacy policy). Read only.
• Numbers. Per day, how many AI agents, AI crawlers, search engines and people request your pages, and how many markdown and MCP responses the edge delivered.

Turn on

1. In your account, go to Edge › your site › Search engines and AI › Agent-ready.
2. Choose per month or per year and pay. After payment it is on within a minute. You get an email with your addresses.
3. Do you only want markdown or only the MCP server? Turn off the other part on the same page. There you also enter the name of your store as agents see it.

Try it yourself

Open https://jouwdomein.nl/index.md in your browser for the markdown of your home page. In Claude, you add your MCP address under Settings › Connectors (custom connector). In ChatGPT, use developer mode for connectors. Then ask, for example: “Find a product under 50 euros in this store and give me the link.”

What agents do not see and cannot do

Pages with noindex, your checkout, cart and account pages stay out of view. An agent cannot order or pay anything. It gives your customer a link and they check out on your site themselves. A limit on the number of requests per minute applies per visitor.

Is this cloaking?

No. Only those who ask for the markdown version get it, not based on who they claim to be. It is the same content, and the markdown version has a noindex header so Google does not see it as a duplicate page.

Costs

Per site per month or per year, paid in advance and cancel monthly. No AI is running, so there are no extra costs afterwards.
