What it does

Images and videos
Every JPG and PNG gets a WebP version, including your existing media library and your theme. Videos become 50 to 85% smaller with no visible difference, and start playing right away. The site automatically shows the smallest one.
Smart script loading
Scripts load only once the page is ready, respecting what depends on what. Analytics, pixels and chat start only on the first scroll or click.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with my current cache plugin?
Use one cache plugin at a time. Turn off WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache or LiteSpeed Cache first. Two caches work against each other. Netslim Speed tells you if another page cache is already active.
Is it safe for my web shop?
Yes. Cart, checkout, My account and logged-in customers are never cached, and as soon as there is something in a cart, that visitor always gets a fresh page. Stock changes refresh the product page immediately.
What if a script stops working after deferring?
Add that script to the "Do not defer" list (under Code), or turn off deferring for that item. jQuery is never deferred, and WordPress takes scripts that depend on each other into account.
Do I need a CDN?
If your visitors are mostly in the Netherlands and Belgium, usually not. The speed check shows whether your server is doing well. If you still want a layer in front of it, choose Netslim Edge: our own edge servers cache your pages, block attacks and keep your site online when your server struggles. Netslim Speed recognises the edge and works with it.
On how many websites can I use it?
One live website plus one staging site per licence. More sites? Order several licences at once.
What happens when my licence expires?
The plugin then turns off the cache and optimisations. Your site keeps working as it does without the plugin. The WebP files stay in place. If a payment fails, you have 7 more days to pay.
