How you usually notice something is wrong

before you remove anything
Your first reflex is to delete everything. Don't. The files often hold the trace of how they got in. Without that trace, you will be hacked again within a week.
Has personal data possibly been stolen, such as customer data from your webshop? In many cases you must report that to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours. We help you assess whether this applies to you.
Make a copy
A backup of the site as it is now, files and database. Even if it is infected: we need it to find the cause.
Change your passwords
For your hosting, WordPress admin, FTP and the database. Do this from a different device than usual, in case your computer itself is infected.
Take your site offline for now
Is your site redirecting visitors or spreading malware? Then put it in maintenance mode. Better closed for a while than infecting your customers.

Cleaning a site without finding the leak is mopping with the tap running. That is why we always work in this order.

Stop redirects and spam, shut off access, and make sure visitors no longer pick up anything harmful.

Malware, backdoors, fake admins and spam pages are removed. Where possible, we restore clean files.
> 03 find the cause
An old plugin, a leaked password or a server that was not updated. You hear in plain language what it was.

Updates, stronger passwords, a firewall and monitoring, so the same way in doesn't work again.

We remove spam pages from Google. If Google flags your site as dangerous, we request a new review together.

Yes. We work with the access you give us: your hosting, WordPress or the server. You don't have to switch first.
How quickly can you start?
We usually respond within an hour, also on weekends. A hack takes priority over other work.
What does it cost?
We charge one-off help by the hour, with an estimate up front. With Security Shield, clean-up after a hack is included in your monthly fee.
Is my site safe afterwards?
No one can promise a site will never be hacked again. We do close the hole they got in through, and with monitoring we see right away if something happens again.
Do I have to report it?
If personal data may have been taken, in many cases you must report this to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours. If it is only spam on your site, usually not. We help you assess this.
