Toegankelijkheid check: gratis controleren en verklaring opstellen
What the accessibility check covers, which issues Netslim EdgeTM fixes at the edge and how to create an accessibility statement.

On the Accessibility check page you check one page for free on twelve WCAG points: page language, page title, alt texts, form field labels, names of links and buttons, zooming, headings, titles of embedded content, a link to the content, the main content, audio that starts automatically and vague link texts. Colour contrast and keyboard operation cannot be measured by an automatic check.
What Netslim EdgeTM fixes
If your site runs through Netslim EdgeTM and you have Edge Privacy, the edge fixes the following at the edge: the page language, allowing zoom again, names for fields (from the placeholder text) and icon buttons, alt texts from a readable file name, titles for videos and maps, and a link to the content that only appears when someone uses the keyboard. Your design does not change.
The law
Since 28 June 2025, web shops and other sites where consumers buy, sign up or book something must be accessible, for companies with 10 or more employees or more than € 2 million annual turnover. The ACM supervises this. You must also explain how accessible your service is, for example in an accessibility statement.
Your statement
After the check, you enter your company name, website and contact address at the bottom. The issues that are not yet fixed are already included. Copy the text to a page on your site and link to it in your footer.
