What we measure
Don't wait for a customer to call
A site that goes down at night often goes unnoticed until orders stop coming in. Serverwacht monitors all day and lets you know as soon as something is wrong.
Your website
We open your web address like a visitor would. A server error, an error page or no response within 15 seconds counts as offline.
A word on the page
Optional: enter a word that must always be on the page, such as "Add to cart". If the page loads but your shop is empty or broken, you hear about that too.
Your server
No website? Then we connect to a port, such as 22 for SSH, 993 for email or the port of your own app.
Email and text
Two failed checks in a row, and you get an email and a text message. Back online: another message, with how long it took.
Certificate
With https we warn you 14 and 3 days before your SSL certificate expires, so visitors never see a warning.
Uptime and outages
In your account you see the uptime of the past 30 days, the average response time and every outage with start and duration.

To be honest: for a server elsewhere, we can only monitor, not intervene. With Netslim hosting and WordPress, we fix many outages automatically, often before you notice. If your SMS messages for a month run out, you only get email until the end of the month.
Questions
Good to know
Do I need to install anything?
No. We check from the outside, just like a visitor. Nothing is installed on your server.
Why only after two failures?
A single check can fail because of a short hiccup somewhere on the internet. Two in a row almost always means a real outage. This way you don't get false alarms.
Can I also have a server in my own network monitored?
No, only addresses that are reachable from the internet. We don't monitor internal addresses such as 192,168.x.
What if I run out of SMS messages?
Then you only get email until the end of the month, plus one message saying the bundle is used up. You never pay afterwards for extra SMS messages.
My site is already with Netslim. What do I need?
Nothing extra: we already monitor your hosting and servers. In your account, turn on email per service under Serverwacht. If you also want SMS, add SMS on outage.
