AI assistant for WhatsApp: connect, add knowledge and take over

The AI assistant for WhatsApp answers your business's WhatsApp messages with what it knows about your business. If it is unsure, if it is about a complaint or payment, or if someone asks for a person, it hands the conversation to you and you get an email. It works through Meta's official WhatsApp Business API, with your own number.

Connect

1. In your account, go to AI voor WhatsApp and choose a plan.
2. Click Koppelen met WhatsApp. In the Meta window, log in with the Facebook account you use to manage your business, then choose or create your WhatsApp Business account and your number.
3. Done: we set up the rest and you get an email.

If you currently use the number in the regular WhatsApp app, you first need to remove it there. You can often keep a number from the WhatsApp Business app. The Meta window shows what is possible.

What the assistant knows

Click Website laten lezen. We read your home page and pages such as contact, about us, prices, FAQ, shipping and returns. Then add what is not on your site: standard answers, opening hours, what it must never promise and what it says when it hands over. The assistant does not make anything up. If something is missing, it hands the conversation over to you.

Taking over

All conversations are in your account. Click Zelf overnemen to pause the AI in that conversation, or just reply in the conversation: the AI then leaves it to you for 12 hours. With AI uitzetten you stop it completely. WhatsApp only allows a free-form message within 24 hours of the customer's last message.

Costs

A fixed amount per month with a number of AI replies included. You buy extra replies in advance as a bundle (these do not expire). Meta charges per message itself, but per number the first 1,000 customer service messages per month are free. Above that, you pay Meta directly through your Meta business account. Add a payment method there.

Rules

In its first message, the assistant says it is an AI. It works only for your business: Meta does not allow general chatbots on WhatsApp. We keep messages for 90 days.
