What changes
An agent reads your shop differently than a person does
A person sees your design. An agent fetches the page, throws away menus, cookie banner and scripts, and tries to find the facts. The easier that is, the greater the chance your product ends up in its answer, with the right price.
Every page as markdown
If an agent asks for markdown (the header Accept: text/markdown, or .md after the path), it gets a clean version: title, price, stock, SKU, brand and reviews from your structured data, followed by the text. No menus, no scripts, far fewer tokens.
An MCP server for your shop
MCP is the standard AI assistants use to work with tools. At jouwdomein.nl/mcp an assistant can search your products, view a product, read a page and fetch your shop details and policies. With WooCommerce, with live price and stock.

From "order this for me" to your checkout
With the Agent checkout add-on, your MCP server gets a fifth tool: create_checkout. When your customer tells their AI assistant they want to buy, the assistant checks price and stock, asks which variant if there are sizes or colors, and your customer gets one link. It puts the products in the cart and takes them straight to your checkout.

- Your checkout, your payment methodsThe agent only creates the link. Your customer sees your own checkout, reviews everything and pays themselves. Nothing is ever ordered or paid without them.
- Live price and stockFor every link, the edge checks price and stock with your shop. If something is sold out, the agent says so instead of showing an empty checkout.
- See what it deliversIn your portal you see per day how many checkout links agents created. The orders themselves are simply in your shop.
Agent checkout costs € 29.00 per site per month (€ 35.09 incl. VAT) or € 290.00 per year, on top of Agent ready. Works with WooCommerce. For multiple products in one link you need WooCommerce 9.9 or newer. With an older version, your customer gets a cart link per product.

Questions
Good to know
Is this cloaking? Does Google penalize it?
No. Only those who ask for the markdown version get it (header or .md address), not based on who they claim to be. It is the same content, and the markdown version has a noindex header so Google does not see it as a duplicate page.
Which agents use this?
Asking for markdown is something agents and developer tools do more and more often. MCP is supported by Claude and ChatGPT (via connectors), among others, and many developer tools. In your portal you see per day what really happens on your site.
Can an agent order from me?
Not by itself. With Agent ready, it searches and reads, and gives your customer links. With the Agent checkout add-on, it creates a checkout link that takes your customer straight to your checkout. Your customer always orders and pays themselves.
What does an agent not see?
Pages with noindex, your checkout, cart and account pages. The MCP server only reads public pages on your own domain.
Does it also work without WooCommerce?
Yes. Product data then comes from the structured data (JSON-LD) on your product pages, the same way Google reads it. Search works through the pages the edge knows from your site. With WooCommerce, search results are live, with price and stock.
Does it cost AI or slow down my site?
No AI is running. The edge converts your own page and keeps the result for five minutes. Your web server hardly notices it, and nothing changes for regular visitors.
