Netslim for Chrome
Privacy and security
Which data the extension and the Windows program use, what for, and what never happens. Updated on October 30, 2026.
Who
The Netslim extension for Chrome belongs to Netslim (KvK 73638463). For anything not covered here, our privacy statement applies.
Purpose
The extension has one purpose: to keep your Netslim account and your websites close while you browse, and (if you have that service) to let the AI employee work in your browser. We only use data for that. We don't sell anything, we don't show ads and we don't use your data to train AI models.
What the extension uses
- Pairing key. A separate key for each browser, stored in the extension's storage. We only keep a hash, with the browser's name, when it was paired, when it last made contact and from which IP address.
- Your account data. The extension fetches your sites, domain names, services, open invoices and notifications from us, to show them. A copy stays in the extension's storage until you unpair.
- The address of the page you are on. Only if you use the This page tab. Only the domain name is sent to us, to check whether the site is yours and runs through Netslim EdgeTM.
- SEO check. The check reads the page in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
- Warning for fake sites. Only if you turn it on. The extension then compares the addresses of your browser tabs with your own domain names. Those addresses are not sent to us.
- AI employee (only with that service, and only after a code from your authenticator). While it does a task for you, the extension sends us the page in that tab at each step: the buttons, fields and visible text. We never read the values of password fields and payment fields, and we remove sequences that look like a card number. We let an AI service choose the next step (see our privacy statement). The log of steps and what the employee saves for you is in your account.
What never happens
- The extension doesn't read pages in the background and doesn't send browsing history to us.
- The extension doesn't use your login cookies. It talks to Netslim only through its own key.
- The extension doesn't load code from the internet. Everything it does is in the extension itself.
- The AI employee never fills in passwords, codes or payment details, and asks for permission before it sends, pays, buys, deletes or publishes anything. It doesn't work on advertising platforms and social networks.
Permissions in Chrome
- Side panel, storage, alarms: show the panel, keep your key, fetch your notifications every half hour.
- Active tab and scripts: read the page when you click a button (SEO check, AI employee).
- Tabs and notifications (optional): only for the warning for fake sites, if you turn it on.
- Access to websites (optional): per site if you use the SEO check, or for all sites if you start the AI employee. You can always revoke this in Chrome's settings.
Netslim Medewerker for Windows
The Netslim Medewerker program lets the AI employee work on your whole Windows computer. It connects in the same way, with its own key that Windows stores encrypted. Only while it is doing a task for you, it sends the following to us, step by step:
- A screenshot of your main screen, scaled down to 1280 pixels wide. It goes only to the AI service for that one step. We do not store it, and the AI service does not use it for training.
- The active window: the title, the name of the program, and the buttons and fields with their name and position. Not the contents of password fields.
- Where your mouse is, so it pauses when you do something yourself.
In the log in your account, we store for each step what it did and in which program and window, not the screenshot. If a password manager, banking or payment app, advertising platform or social network is active, it does nothing and asks you. Its own bar at the bottom right does not appear in the screenshots. Outside a task, the program does not look at your screen.
How long
A connected browser or computer stays in your account until you disconnect it. We store the AI employee's log for 12 months, or shorter if you close your account.
Your rights
You can view your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. You disconnect it yourself, in the extension or in your portal. For anything else, contact us.
