Your website's health: the score and what to do about it

What the score on your overview means, what we measure and how to fix what can be better with one click.

2 min read · updated 19 Oct 2026

On the overview in your account, under Your websites, each site has a score from 0 to 100. We measure each site once a day from the outside, the way a visitor or Google sees your site. You don't need to install anything.

What we measure

  • Reachable: whether your site returns a page, an error or nothing at all.
  • Security: a valid SSL certificate, redirect to https, HSTS, updated WordPress and plugins, and a current PHP version.
  • Speed: how fast your server responds. Above 900 milliseconds, visitors and Google notice.
  • Backup: whether there is a backup from the last three days.
  • SEO: the SEO health from Netslim Edge, or otherwise the result of your latest website check.
  • Email: exactly one SPF record and one DMARC record. We count this if your domain receives email.
  • Domain: whether your domain renews automatically and is locked against being transferred away. We count this if your domain is with us.

Not every item weighs the same. A site that is not reachable or has no valid certificate loses many points. A missing HSTS header loses few.

What the score means

  • 90 to 100: excellent.
  • 75 to 89: good.
  • 50 to 74: can be better.
  • Below 50: action needed.

Fix it with one click

Under the score, Do this now shows the item that gains you the most. Expand a site to see all items. You can fix many right away with the button next to them: request an SSL certificate, make a backup now, merge your SPF records, add DMARC, turn on automatic renewal or lock your domain. For the rest, we show where to fix it.

An email when things get worse

If the score of a site drops by 20 points or more, you get an email with what changed. At most once a week per site.
