Track competitors and see who ranks above you in Google

Up to 50 competitors compared technically with your own site, plus your position per keyword and who ranks above you.

Under Edge SEO › Competitors you track up to 50 competitors per site. Suggestions come from Google (who is in the top 10 for your keywords), from your Price Watch and, if the AI is on, from the AI. We check every suggested domain first. You can also add them yourself.

Side by side, technically

Every week we measure the same things for everyone: speed, security, titles and descriptions, schema, the number of pages, whether AI crawlers may read the site, llms.txt, HTTP/3 and the platform.

Who ranks above you

For each keyword you see your position in Google and who ranks above you, with an estimated share of clicks per competitor. We use your best keywords from Search Console (without your brand name), plus your own list. The results come from a search data service with real Google results. We do not scrape Google ourselves.

Look behind the scenes at a competitor

Click View next to a competitor, then Analyze. After about half a minute you see:

  • Top pages: which pages bring them the most traffic from Google, with the keyword that brings the most and where you rank for that keyword.
  • Keyword gap: keywords they rank for in the top 20 and you don't, in order of search volume. With Track you add such a keyword to your list, and every week you see who ranks above you.
  • Backlinks: who links to them, one link per domain. Filter by strength (0 to 100), dofollow, new (30 days) and does not link to you. That last one is your list for link building.
  • Ads: which keywords they advertise on in Google, with the ad text and the page the click lands on.

You can search and sort every list, and download it as CSV. At the top right you choose the country (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK or US). You can run the same analysis for your own site too.

How reliable is it?

Traffic, search volumes and backlinks are estimates from DataForSEO, based on their own measurements in Google. As with Ahrefs and Semrush: good for spotting opportunities and comparing, not accurate to the click. An analysis stays available for 30 days and you can refresh it after a week. Per site you can run up to 10 per day (3 during the trial).
