If your domain is with us, you manage the DNS yourself in your customer portal: Domains › Manage DNS. Changes are usually live everywhere within 15 minutes.
Add a single record
- Choose the type: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, CAA, NS, TLSA or SSHFP.
- Enter the name:
@or leave it empty for the domain itself, or for examplewww. You don't need to add your domain name after it, but you can. - Enter the value and choose how long the record may be cached (TTL). If you're not sure, leave it at 1 hour.
Paste in bulk
Does a service such as SendGrid, Mailchimp or Microsoft 365 give you a list of records? Choose Paste in bulk, choose the type and paste all the lines. We pick out the name and value for you, even if there are tabs, a TTL, IN or your full domain name in between. Before you save, you can see how each line was recognised.
Import a whole zone
If you're coming from another provider, export your zone file there (BIND format) and paste it under Import zone. If you want to replace everything, tick the box to remove the existing records first. With Export you download your own zone as a backup.
DNSSEC
DNSSEC adds a digital signature to your DNS, so nobody can return a fake address for your domain along the way. Turning it on takes one click at the top right. If you move to other nameservers later, turn it off first.
Two SPF records? That breaks your email
A domain may have only one SPF record. If there are two, both are ignored and your email is more likely to end up in spam. The portal warns you about this and shows you right away how to combine them into one record, for example v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com include:sendgrid.net ~all.
Templates and restoring
Save the records of a domain as a template and apply them to another domain with one click. Did it turn into a mess? With Reset to default, your website and email point to our server again (you first type RESET to confirm).
