Make WordPress faster: the biggest gains
Six things that matter most, without having to be a developer.

A fast site ranks better in Google and sells more. These changes give the most:
1. Fewer and better plugins
Every plugin loads code. Remove what you don't use, and pick one good plugin per task.
2. Shrink images
Don't upload photos larger than 2000 pixels, and use WebP. This often cuts your load time in half.
3. Turn on caching
On our WordPress hosting, server caching is on by default. Want more? Use Netslim Speed: page cache, WebP and smart script loading in one plugin, with a speed check that shows what you can still improve on your server. Never use two cache plugins at the same time. They work against each other.
4. A light theme
Heavy page builders load a lot of extra code. A light theme is often twice as fast.
5. Keep up with updates
Newer versions of WordPress and PHP are faster and safer.
6. Measure
Run the free website check on our site. You see right away where the gains are.

Even faster for large sites
With Netslim Edge, pages for visitors without an account are served from the edge cache, with HTTP/3 and compression, and you take load off your own server.
